I am a compassionate and experienced caregiver with a strong background in elderly and disability support, gained through over 15 years of healthcare work in Finland, Poland, Australia, and Zimbabwe. I hold a nursing degree from Poland and have worked in both hospital settings and private homes, supporting elderly patients with personal hygiene, mobility assistance, medication, wound care, and emotional support.
During my recent employment at Harjula Hospital in Kuopio, Finland, I worked in a geriatric rehabilitation ward where I provided post-operative care, monitored vital signs, and supported patients with daily activities and rehabilitation plans. I was part of a multidisciplinary team and took initiative in documentation and communication with patients and their families. I am used to shift work and enjoy working in calm, respectful environments.
Before moving to Finland, I supported clients with disabilities in community settings in Australia, where I received training in behavior support and person-centred care. I am particularly skilled at building trust, showing patience, and creating a positive daily routine that respects each individual's dignity and independence.
I speak fluent English and basic Polish and Finnish, and I am currently working to improve my Polish language skills. I am committed to continuous learning and have completed additional training in hygiene, documentation, and elderly care.
As a caregiver, I bring warmth, resilience, strong teamwork, and deep cultural sensitivity. I enjoy helping people feel safe, comfortable, and valued—whether they are elderly, disabled, or facing health challenges. I believe that quality care starts with compassion, respect, and the willingness to treat each person as family.
