My grandmother suffered from Alzheimer's and I cared for her for 2 years, providing her with the emotional and physical support she needed in her daily life, until her death. On the other hand, my grandfather suffered 3 strokes, recovering from the first 2 and the 3rd left him bedridden for 7 years, a period in which I was also by his side, ensuring that he received the care he deserved.
In addition, I had the opportunity to care for my godmother, an elderly person facing mild dementia. And so that you know more about my Gift of Service, this person became my godmother while she was her caregiver during the years that I cared for her, as a result of that the lady and her family welcomed me in gratitude for the love and connection we had, as part of their family.
